Elsie Wisdom Painting – “Billy Wizz”
My painting of lady racing driver Mrs Elsie Wisdom embraces my excitement about the 1930s era of British motorsport – colourful and full of character(s).
Known affectionately as “Bill”, Mrs Wisdom was one of the first female winners in a mixed race at Brooklands, and probably its most prestigious female victor – achieving the accolade of being the fastest woman on the circuit, with a lap of 121.47mph.
Original motoring portrait painting in acrylic on board, measuring 8 x 8 inches.
All yours for £375.00!
