Prince Bira’s ERA racing that of Arthur Dobson at the 1936 Limerick Grand Prix race.
The Limerick Grand Prix ran on a circuit of closed streets in Limerick, Ireland, in 1935, 1936 and 1938. These were the first Irish events to feature ERA racing cars. English Racing Automobiles Ltd was financed by Humphrey Cook, a city businessman and racing enthusiast and driver, in conjunction with racing driver Raymond Mays and his engineer, designer friend Peter Berthon.
